Home / About Us

We built Open Homes after building our own.

Creating a beautiful home should not require choosing between standardized interior packages and the uncertainty of managing independent contractors.

How it started

Good design ideas are easy to find. Making them work in a real home is much harder.

Over the years our family became deeply involved in that translation: layouts and materials, sourcing, specialist installations, craftsmen and on-site execution. What began as a personal interest gradually became a network of people, suppliers and execution capability we could rely on.

Sometimes the starting point was a complete Pinterest reference. Sometimes it was a ceiling detail, a lighting concept, a material, or a clever layout intervention seen elsewhere. The real challenge was adapting that idea to the dimensions, construction realities and economics of an Indian home.

We learned how to bridge that gap. We worked with designers to visualise and adapt ideas, found craftsmen capable of executing unconventional details, sourced premium products from Dubai, procured modern technology from China, and built trusted relationships with local suppliers and fabricators.

Along the way we also learned where spending more genuinely improves the outcome, and where the same design intent can be achieved through smarter sourcing, thoughtful detailing and better execution.

Sourcing, materials and execution

Gaurav Goel

Based in Dubai for several years, Gaurav developed exposure to premium residential products, international suppliers and a market where specialist fittings and finishes are readily available.

His involvement in the family's own projects extended from identifying materials and suppliers to working directly with craftsmen and resolving execution challenges on site.

At Open Homes, Gaurav focuses on sourcing, material choices, supplier relationships and execution quality.

Structure, economics and customer experience

Siddhant Goel

Siddhant is a graduate of IIT Delhi and IIM Ahmedabad, with a background in management consulting.

He brings structure to an industry that can often feel unstructured, helping homeowners evaluate choices, understand cost implications and navigate the project with greater clarity.

At Open Homes, Siddhant focuses on customer communication, design evaluation, commercial clarity and the company's operating model.

Gaurav brings practical knowledge of materials, sourcing and site execution. Siddhant brings structure, analysis and process discipline. Together, they remain involved in ensuring that the original design intent survives the realities of sourcing and construction.

What "Built Openly" means

Five things we hold ourselves to.

01

Open spaces

We look for opportunities to make homes feel more spacious, connected and usable, not merely more decorated.

02

Open choices

Homeowners are not restricted to one catalogue, manufacturer, sourcing country or vendor ecosystem.

03

Open costs

Material and design choices are discussed together with their cost implications.

04

Open communication

Progress, changes, constraints and realistic timelines are communicated directly.

05

Open collaboration

The final home should reflect the people living in it, not the signature style of the company.

Where we work

Deeply accountable in one market.

Open Homes is currently focused on Ghaziabad and selected nearby communities in Delhi NCR. This concentration allows us to remain personally involved, work closely with established suppliers and craftsmen, and respond quickly when site execution needs attention.
